Welcome to the Subsea Awareness & Training Portal

Subsea1^® contains two sections, an information library and training package, both available to all subscribers.

The portal uses up-to-date IT technology to present user friendly explanations of the concepts and products used for Subsea field developments, including 3D illustrations, diagrams, photos, videos and followed up by self assessment training. The library is based on the “Wikipedia” concept so users can add to the descriptions and content. The most up-to-date Subsea systems and products are illustrated and described, making Subsea1^® the ideal place to search for information related to Subsea processes, tools and technology.

It is our belief that the effectiveness of future global Subsea oil and gas production will be directly linked to the level of knowledge shared by the people involved in the business.

The above statement applies not only to the teams of engineers or specialists, but also for all others including company management, contractors and sub-contractors, regulators and others working to support the Subsea industry. For instance, if all of these people had a basic level of knowledge about the purpose of Subsea components and the terminology being used, their contributions to safe and economic operations could reach an entirely new level. This will also enable all engineers working side by side on a project to share the same overall system knowledge related to how a typical Subsea field is being developed. In Subsea1^®, this information presented through visual and “easy to understand” animations with simple written explanations.

To ensure that Subsea competence improvement in your organisation is delivered and measurable, each person passing the awareness test will have a personal diploma to document their Subsea knowledge.
